Shibuya Sky sunset times and booking windows

There is no separate “sunset ticket” — you choose a timed entry that overlaps golden hour. Use this 2026 table to pick a slot, then book before evening bands sell out.

How sunset timing works at Shibuya Sky

Admission is a 20-minute entry window with no time limit once you are inside. Sunset is about when the sky turns gold and blue hour begins — not a product name on the ticket.

Official pricing splits at 15:00: enter by 14:59 for the day band (¥2,700 online adult), or from 15:00 for the evening band (¥3,400 online). Most sunset visits fall in the evening band in every season.

Arrive at the 14F gate 10–15 minutes before your slot. Security, lockers and the lift queue eat into peak-hour buffers.

How far ahead to book

Dates open at 00:00 Japan Standard Time, 14 days before your visit. Sunset and weekend slots in spring and autumn often sell out within the first day or two.

If your trip dates are fixed, set a calendar reminder for the release night (JST) rather than waiting for same-day counter tickets — sold-out slots cannot be sold at the 14F desk for adults.

Pick a 20-minute slot that starts about 40–60 minutes before sunset so you have time for the lift, lockers and a spot on the roof. All rows below use the evening price band (entry from 15:00).

Frequently asked questions

Clear winter days (January–February) often give sharp air and Mount Fuji on the horizon. Autumn (October–November) balances comfortable temperatures with earlier sunsets that fit the evening band.
