When do Shibuya Sky tickets go on sale?
Official Webket and partner calendars open each visit date at midnight Japan Standard Time, 14 days in advance. Sunset slots are the first to disappear.
The 14-day rule
For a visit on 15 March, online inventory typically appears at 00:00 JST on 1 March — not at your local midnight unless you happen to be in Japan.
The rule applies to dated timed entry. Partner sites (Klook, GetYourGuide, Viator) mirror the same inventory pools; when a slot is gone on one channel, it is gone for that time band.
Time zones for overseas booking
00:00 JST is 15:00 UTC (previous calendar day) — e.g. 10:00 Eastern (previous day) or 16:00 Central European (previous day) during standard time. Double-check when daylight saving shifts.
If sunset matters, book as soon as your date unlocks rather than waiting until the morning — popular autumn weekends can sell evening bands within hours.
After tickets sell out
When online adult slots for a time band are sold out, the 14F counter cannot sell the same slot. Same-day counter tickets only help when inventory remains.
Children’s tickets are often counter-only for some ages — adults should still pre-book online when possible.
How booking works
- Every ticket is tied to a 20-minute entry window — arrive at the 14F gate during that window.
- There is no time limit inside after you enter; you cannot leave and re-enter.
- Free cancellation on official web tickets is typically until the day before — partner resellers set their own rules.
- From 19 Nov 2026, many Klook bookings require each guest’s original passport at the gate (see your voucher).
Official admission bands (adult)
Venue pricing splits by entry time, not by a separate “sunset ticket”. Online purchase is typically ¥300 less than the 14F counter when slots remain.
